From 30 July to 1 August, the team of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin will join the West Pomerania Health Zone at the Pol’and’Rock Festival in Czaplinek–Broczyno.

PUM and CENTOGENE together for children with rare diseases. A collaboration that truly strengthens diagnostics for the youngest patients will continue. 🤝 PUM and CENTOGENE have signed a memorandum outlining the next steps in joint activities in genetic diagnostics, scientific research, and advanced genomic technologies.
✍️ The document was signed by prof. Leszek Domański, Rector of PUM, and prof. Peter Bauer, Chief Medical and Genomic Officer at CENTOGENE, affiliated with PUM. The meeting was also attended by prof. Maria Gizewska, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Rare Diseases and Metabolic Medicine at PUM.
🔬 Since 2019, nearly 1,400 tests have been performed for more than 1,000 young patients and their family members as part of this collaboration. Now, the partners are focusing on further development of diagnostics, joint research projects, molecular consilia, and the use of cutting edge genomic technologies.
💙 All to diagnose and support children with rare diseases even more effectively.
