We’re proud to share that members of Wrocław Tech Fragrance Lab actively participated in the LEM Forum 🎓✨

Our PhD students, together with our MSc student and future PhD candidate, presented their research in the form of poster presentations 🧪📊 — showcasing the next generation of scientists in our team.

At the same time, the head of our lab, Daniel Strub, contributed to the forum as a panel participant, sharing insights and experience with the wider scientific community 🎤

We are proud to see both young researchers and experienced scientists representing our lab and building visibility for fragrance science and analytical research.

Alicja Surowiak, PhD recently had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on training at MatTek (now part of Sartorius) in Bratislava MatTek Life Sciences focused on in vitro skin irritation testing (OECD TG 439) using the EpiDerm™ model 🔬
During this visit, she worked on NCSs gaining practical experience with advanced tissue models and validated methods used in cosmetic and safety assessment.
This training was a valuable step in expanding our research capabilities at Wrocław Tech Fragrance Lab, especially in the area of alternative testing methods and cosmetic science.
Looking forward to implementing this knowledge in our lab🚀

🇵🇹✨ Wrocław Tech Fragrance LAB in Portugal

Recently, Alicja Surowiak from Wrocław Tech Fragrance LAB visited Portugal as part of an academic teaching and collaboration visit.

During her stay at the Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, Alicja delivered a lecture titled “Natural Complex Substances in the Cosmetic Industry” and conducted hands-on workshops on shower bar and lip balm formulation, sharing practical knowledge on cosmetic product development with students and researchers.

The visit also included meetings with partners from INIAV, IP and the Universidade de Évora where discussions focused on future scientific cooperation and joint grant opportunities.

We would like to thank our wonderful hosts and collaborators for their warm welcome and inspiring discussions:
🙏 Prof. Ana Cristina Figueiredo and Alexandra Machado – University of Lisbon
🙏 Jorge Faria – INIAV
🙏 Cláudia Vicente – University of Évora

International collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential for advancing science, and we are excited about the opportunities that may grow from these new connections. 🌍🧪
