Centrul de Proiectări pentru Proiecte de Dezvoltare Durabilă (acronim: CPPDD) s-a înfiinţat în conformitate cu art. 133 din Legea 1 / 2011, în baza Deciziei DIMSIA din 21.09.2012, sub numele de Centrul de Proiectări pentru Proiecte de Dezvoltare Durabilă (CPPDD), ca centru de sine stătător în cadrul DIMSIA, Univer

sitatea din Piteşti, beneficiind şi uzând după caz, conform legii, de reprezentabilitatea juridică a Universităţii din Piteşti. Centrul de Proiectări pentru Proiecte de Dezvoltare Durabilă (CPPDD) are ca misiune să creeze cadrul logistic şi administrativ pentru realizarea de proiecte de dezvoltare durabilă de către studenţii şi cadrele didactice ale DIMSIA. Sediul oficial al Centrului de Proiectări pentru Proiecte de Dezvoltare Durabilă (CPPDD) se află în România, localitatea Piteşti, str. Târgul din Vale, 1, corp S, parter, camera S006. CPPDD funcţionează pe termen nedeterminat, în conformitate cu legile României şi cu hotărârile DIMSIA.

📚 VR-Intense WP3 in Progress – Developing VR Learning Modules
Work is actively progressing within WP3 of the VR-Intense project, focusing on the development of innovative learning modules on the use of Virtual Reality in higher education lectures and student learning.
The VR-Intense course will include six modules covering:
🔹 Introduction to VR technology
🔹 Benefits of VR in higher education
🔹 Case studies and VR in the world of work
🔹 Pedagogical approaches for integrating VR
🔹 Accessibility and inclusivity in VR learning
🔹 Embedding VR into lectures, seminars, and study modules
🎯 These modules will support lecturers and students in effectively integrating Virtual Reality into teaching and learning practices.

📢 VR-Intense Project Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia
From 24–26 February 2026, the consortium of our VR-Intense project met in Zagreb, Croatia, for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting.
During the meeting, partners discussed progress on the VR Field Trip, collaboration tools, and the development of six VR learning modules, as well as the preparation of the project’s learning platform and upcoming activities.
Clear deadlines were agreed for module preparation, translations, and testing activities starting in April 2026.

📅 On March 9, 2026, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest hosted the workshop “HRIA: Results, Collaborations and Perspectives after the First Year of Implementation”, dedicated to the Romanian Hub for Artificial Intelligence.
The event brought together researchers, academic staff, industry representatives, and public decision-makers to discuss the results achieved during the first year of implementation and to explore future perspectives in Artificial Intelligence research, collaboration, and innovation.
🤖💡 This vibrant academic context reflects the dynamic academic environment in which the Erasmus+ funded AI Literacy project is implemented at POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
Through its activities, the AI Literacy project promotes responsible, critical, and informed use of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, contributing to the development of digital competences and fostering a culture of ethical and effective AI use among students and educators.
We are proud to be part of a university ecosystem that supports innovation, collaboration, and the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence into education and research.

📝 Preparing the WP2 Field Research Phase in the AI Literacy Project
The AI Literacy project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, is moving forward with the preparation of the WP2 field research phase, which will be implemented in Romania by the team of POLITEHNICA Bucharest (Pitești University Center).
In this stage, the Romanian team will organize focus groups and interviews with teachers, alongside an online survey addressed to pre-service and in-service teachers, to better understand their needs, experiences, and expectations regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence in education.
💡 The insights collected will contribute to shaping relevant project outcomes and ensuring that future activities are grounded in real educational practices and perspectives.

📊 WP2 Milestone Achieved: Desk Research Completed by the Romanian Team
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the WP2 desk research on needs analysis within the AI Literacy project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union!
The Romanian team carried out an extensive literature review and identified relevant good practices, including educational projects and initiatives focused on Artificial Intelligence in higher education.
💡 The results of this research will support the development of future project activities, ensuring that the AI Literacy project responds to real educational needs and builds on proven approaches in AI education.

The trained Wellbeing Champions and teachers are implementing ThrivingSchools activities in their class, supporting students to efficiently acquire and practice specific daily routines and behaviors that increase students’ wellbeing and improve their socio-emotional status!

🚀 CARE+CONNECT has officially started!
The CARE+CONNECT project is now underway, bringing partners together to strengthen care, connection, and wellbeing in higher education.
We have already begun work on WP2: CARE+CONNECT Programme for HEI Students - Guidelines, laying the foundations for a structured and student-centred approach that will support inclusive and supportive learning environments.

🎓🌍 VR Field Trip Testing at Pitești University Center 🥽✨

Last November, we successfully carried out a testing session of our VR Field Trip tool, developed within the VR-Intense Erasmus+ project, at the Pitești University Center of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
👥A total of 26 testers, including higher education students and academic staff, explored the immersive VR experience - and their feedback was extremely encouraging!
🔍 Key insights from the testing:
1️⃣ High level of enjoyment 🤩 – Participants greatly enjoyed the immersive and interactive VR experience.
2️⃣ Enhanced teaching potential 🎓– Testers agreed that integrating VR tools into teaching can make learning more effective, engaging, and attractive.
3️⃣ Strong future interest 🚀– Participants expressed their hope and intention to use VR-Intense tools in the academic activities they will design and implement in the future.
🙏 A big thank you to all testers for their valuable feedback and enthusiasm. These results motivate us even more to continue developing innovative VR solutions for higher education!
