Breaking News: General Monykoang and Brig. Gen. Alek Mayik escaped prison in Ruweng

Dear Atem Mayiik sympathizers, concerned citizens and government,
You will recall that on 29th November ,2021, mobile court in Ruweng administrative area sentenced Gen. Monykoang and Brig.Gen. Alek to seven (7) years in prison for torturing the 19 year old boy, Atem Mayiik, to confession over the loss of phone. A crime he did not commit. The torture later led to "amputation"of child's two hands ! The court also asked them to pay 24 cows as compensation for the hands lost.
This morning at exactly 6:20 am , Little Atem called me from Pariang and said "Alek and Monykoang are not in prison anymore. They have paid money to get released. That's what happens here in Pariang. If you have money, you will get away with anything. If I have money now, they will be arrested. But I don't have even 1 SSP.
No one is serious about my case. I wish I had died when they cut my hands ! I knew 7 years sentence was not a enough punishment compared to my two arms but at least they should served it to the end !" He concluded in a trembling voice. Atem was first emotional. Then he burst into tears.
He cries for his lost limbs and justice. He cries for the ineffectiveness of government in Ruweng and in south Sudan. I tried to hold back my tears as I tried to calm the child down but my voice was betraying! I was so angry and still i am. I was just breathless!
Atem's mother took the phone from him and said in a heartbreaking voice " in the entire Ruweng area, I never saw a person without two hands. My son is the first one I have seen. But there is nothing we can do about it ! The perpetrators walked out of prison on their four feet and four hands on the watch of government! They're now enjoying life with their families while I spoon- feed a 19 old man like a baby! A fate they brought upon him ! But God is great ." she consoled herself.
I really felt the family. The situation is totally unbearable !
In less than a year , the criminals are out ! I hear our president issuing decrees appointing Chief administrators to Ruweng .Is there any government ? What do they go to do ?
This is terrible and disappointing situation!
I therefore, urgently urge the national government to quickly give directives to authorities in Ruweng administrative area to apprehend Gen. Monykoang and Brig.Gen. Alek wherever they have gone and transport them to Juba.
Someone should at least show Atem that there is still a government.
