NTU Graduate Students & Alumni Career Network

NTU Graduate Students & Alumni Career Network This is the official page of Nanyang Technological University Graduate Students' Association's Career Committee.

The primary objectives of Career and Entrepreneurship Committee (C&E) and Start-up Ecosystem are to reduce the gap between graduate students and industry and to raise entrepreneurial awareness among students. Our committee organizes events like career talks, industrial visits and entrepreneurial activities in collaboration with industry and various other institutes. Through C&E, graduate students

will be encouraged to be well-informed about current trends in industry, explore various opportunities around and upgrade their job searching skills, helping them to secure better job opportunities in the highly competitive job markets around the world. It also serves as a platform for graduate students to network with alumni and other industry personnel. The goal of the Start-Up Ecosystem project is to assist students to successfully create their own businesses. Within NTU & Singapore there already exist numerous institutions, events, and mentors, who are willing to provide assistance in developing start-up projects. The Start-Up Ecosystem is focused on creating an online portal website identifying all of the major players ready to provide Start-Up assistance. Through our website anyone can quickly familiarize themselves with the current Start-Up Ecosystem and determine the necessary people to contact to move their project to the next stage. Through our portal we are also developing an online forum wherein people can highlight either their current Start-Up projects or their personal Start-Up interests and skills. In this way people can find collaborators with appropriate skills or become involved in existing projects. In addition we are in the process of organizing informal Start-Up open mic networking events whereby people can come together and meet like-minded people in a relaxed setting. We extensively use social media platforms to broadcast our information. Please join us in our LinkedIn group 'NTU Graduate Students & Alumni Career Network' (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/4595602) and page (https://www.facebook.com/NTUGradCareer/). Our Start-Up Ecosystem website can be accessed from the following link: https://sites.google.com/site/gscstartup/home
