📚 Never Too Late To Learn 💪✨

At 40, Sharifah Radhia made a bold decision to return to school while juggling a full-time career and raising three children as a single mother. What made the journey even more special? She was studying at Temasek Polytechnic alongside her 18-year-old son, Muhammad Abbas. ❤️

Over the past year, this remarkable mother-son duo navigated assignments, deadlines and exams together, inspiring each other every step of the way. While Abbas pursued a Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics, Sharifah completed her Specialist Diploma in Business Analytics. 🎓

Sharifah's story reminds us that learning doesn't stop with age. It takes courage to step out of our comfort zones, embrace new challenges and continue growing both personally and professionally.

As part of Temasek Polytechnic's collaboration with Snowflake, our Diploma in Big Data Analytics (BDA) students had the opportunity to visit the Snowflake Singapore office for an insightful industry engagement session. This visit is one of the many initiatives under our partnership to provide students with authentic industry exposure and learning opportunities.

Students gained valuable insights from a distinguished panel of industry professionals who shared their experiences in the data and AI landscape:

• Chentong Jia – AI & Machine Learning Solutions Architect

The learning continued with an inspiring Early Career Sharing Session, where Snowflake team members shared their career journeys, experiences, and advice on navigating the tech industry:

🏃‍♂️ Running Together, Growing Together at Temasek Polytechnic (TP) X-Challenge Run 2026! 🏃‍♀️

The TP X-Challenge Run 2026 brought together students, staff and alumni for an evening filled with energy, camaraderie and school spirit.

We are proud that students from the School of Informatics & IT (IIT) took part in the event alongside our Director Mr Ming Fai Tang and staff members. It was especially meaningful to welcome back our alumnus, Bill, who returned to run with our current students demonstrating the strong bonds that continue well beyond graduation.

Our Director, Mr Tang Ming Fai, together with staff members Nash, Lay Guat and Dion, joined our students at the TP X-Challenge Run 2026, demonstrating the strong sense of community and school spirit that makes IIT feels like family.

Beyond the run, participants and supporters enjoyed live performances, fitness activities and the opportunity to celebrate together as One TP.

Events like these remind us that learning extends beyond the classroom building resilience, teamwork, lifelong friendships and a vibrant TP community.

Our students participated in PSA Career Exploration Day 2026, where they gained first-hand insights into one of the world's leading port operators and the exciting career opportunities within the maritime, logistics and supply chain industry.

From an exclusive Port Tour and Control Centre Tour to networking with PSA Career Ambassadors, students experienced how technology, innovation and people work together to keep global trade moving. They also had the chance to interact with industry professionals, explore internship and career pathways, and enjoy a day filled with food, fun and engaging activities.

A big thank you to PSA Singapore for hosting such an enriching and inspiring experience. Opportunities like these help our students broaden their perspectives, connect classroom learning with real-world applications, and take one step closer towards their future careers.
