Fight for Fair Work

Fight for Fair Work Fight for Fair Work: A social media campaign advocating for work-related human rights of transient workers (commonly known as foreign workers) in Singapore

As part of our final year university assignment, Olivia Low and I (Amelia Tan) have started this social media campaign to advocate for the human rights of transient workers (more commonly known to us as foreign workers) in Singapore. Some of the work-related issues faced by transient workers include: unfair work injury compensation practices, non-payment or unjustified deduction of salaries, force

ful repatriation, and excessively long working hours. We (and Singapore’s transient workers) would greatly appreciate your support in liking our page, watching and sharing our video, and signing our petition – these will help you find out more about the societal and structural injustices faced by our transient workers. We hope this inspires you to reflect on Singapore’s attitude towards her transient workers, and encourages you to take action in standing up for transient workers’ human rights. For more information and further updates on the issues faced by transient workers in Singapore, please also like and follow Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2)’s page: TWC2, or visit their website at twc2.org.sg. Thank you!
