Our second episode of our Polity1101E series is out, check it out!

You have to admit: we all love social media. But how much do we really know of it? Certainly, it has created more appealing and engaging communication platforms for self-expression and spreading key messages but what happens when it turns into an unpleasant, unforgiving realm of judgement and toxicity? How can we better cope with it?

Here, Jaye explores the profound influence it has on our lives - from its commercialisation to its social, cognitive impacts on our wellbeing and individual lifestyle. Enjoy.

Kickstarting our Polity1101E series, Polity is proud to present our very first episode covering the issues surrounding Singapore's beloved national treasure - hawker centres.

Where food courses through our vein (I mean, that's biologically true urgh this sounded better in our heads), we Singaporeans simply cannot stop talking about it, can we? But beyond just the scrumptious spread of hawker food, there is more to meets the eye than just the food itself. Our host, Jaye, explains why.
