COMPETITION ON BUILDING SMART CITIES
With countries across the world striving to become the next "smart city", students are also competing to present their ideas on how "smart" solutions can be applied to health, living and services.
Some 30 teams are in town to compete in the finals of the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition organised by the Singapore Management University. The winners will be announced today.
Japan will host the world's first global coast guard summit in Tokyo today. About 40 nations, including China and Singapore, are expected to take part.. Read more at straitstimes.com.
