AYII UNIVERSITY, AMREF HEALTH AFRICA EYE STRONGER PARTNERSHIP

Juba, South Sudan – October 13, 2026 – The Administration of Ayii University paid a courtesy visit to AMREF Health Africa in South Sudan. The delegation comprised Prof. Koc Ruben Ramzi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Prof. Gatwech Koak Nyuon, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance; and Assistant Professor Dr. Adau Kuir Thon, Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

The team was received by Mr. Bosco Kilama Marino, Human Resources and Operations Manager. In attendance were Mr. Samuel, responsible for M&E; Mr. Taban Patrick, responsible for all Institutes supported by AMREF; and Ms. Riya, responsible for communication.

The discussions focused on areas of mutual interest regarding health education and community development.

On behalf of the University leadership, Prof. Koc extended an invitation to AMREF to visit Ayii University.

The top administration for AU has been to the site of Ayii University Teaching and Research Hospital to help them on strategic plan on how to approach the infrastructural development.

To kickstart the infrastructural development from the onset of next year as many other financing and development partners have shown interest in partnering with us in this venture.

AYII UNIVERSITY HOSTS RESEARCH THESES DEFENCE AND PROPOSAL PRESENTATIONS

Juba, Saturday 10 October 2026 — Students of Ayii University spent half of the day engaged in intense academic activity during a workshop with their lecturers and deans of various schools and colleges.

From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a panel of examiners carefully scrutinized candidates one by one at the University’s Juba Hall. Presenters were divided into two groups: those defending their completed theses and those presenting research proposals.

The event was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Jong Deng Jong, Head of the Research Department and Principal of the College of Graduate Studies. Proceedings concluded with closing remarks from Prof. Koc Ruben Ramzi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

This exercise reflects Ayii University’s commitment to fostering rigorous scholarship, mentorship, and academic excellence among its students.

BREAKING NEWS: Mangar Elected General Coordinator

Juba, 08 October 2026 — Democracy was on full display this afternoon as the secondyear, firstsemester August Intake class of Ayii University went to the polls to elect their new General Coordinator.

At exactly 3:00 PM, 58 students from across schools and colleges cast their votes in a spirited contest between Gabriel Mangar and Majok Adewun.

The polls closed at 3:45 PM, after which the Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Achuil Mayik, together with Chief Observer, Mr. Jon Pen de Ngong of the Department of English Language and Communication Skills, break the news on the results right now on this page.

Mangar emerged victorious with 36 votes (62%), while Majok secured 22 votes (38%).

The election was organized following the voluntary resignation of the pioneer coordinator, Mr. Jacob Chol Luar, who had served the class since August 2025.

Speaking after the announcement, Ustaz Pen remarked: “This exercise is just an appetizer. Ayii University is determined to produce holistic leaders, so watch this space for the bigger stage — the Guild Leadership, whose constitution is already on the High Table.”

Congratulations to Gabriel Mangar on his election, and appreciation to all students who participated in strengthening the spirit of democracy at Ayii University.

AYII UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP CONVENES FOR STRATEGIC DELIBERATIONS

Juba, 02 October 2026 — The top leadership of Ayii University convened today at the Munuki main campus for a high level meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Ayii Isaac Ayii, Vice Chancellor, and moderated by Prof. Koc Ruben Ramzi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

The agenda focused on strengthening academic programs, administrative matters, and quality assurance. In attendance were all deans of schools and colleges, the University Administrator, as well as distinguished leaders including Assoc. Prof. Jong Anthony Deng, Principal of the College of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Joseph K. Adok, Principal of Juba Institute of Health Sciences.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the Vice Chancellor, who congratulated Prof. Gatwech Koak Nyuon, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, on his recent appointment as Board Member of the National Bureau of Statistics by the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit. Prof. Gatwech, fresh from the swearing in ceremony at State House (J1), acknowledged the recognition with a brief comment.

This gathering marks the third round in a series of consultative meetings, following earlier sessions with support staff and academic/administrative staff last week.

Ayii University remains committed to fostering dialogue, accountability, and excellence in higher education.

BREAKING NEWS: AYII UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES GRADUATION DATE

Juba, September 28, 2026 – Ayii University has officially announced that its graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, December 04, 2026. The announcement was made by Prof. Koc Ruben Ramzi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Prof. Ramzi congratulated the students of Ayii University and the Juba Institute of Health Sciences, and urged parents, guardians, and the general public to prepare for the occasion.

For the Aweil branch of the Juba Institute of Health Sciences, the graduation ceremony will be conducted one week after the Juba campus branch ceremony.

Further details regarding the ceremony will be communicated in due course.
