Bye bye bro may your soul rest in peace until we meet again
THE BODY OF SINGER MANTANI HAS BEEN FLOWN TO HIS ANCESTRAL HOME-KAJOKEJI FOR BURIAL.
The body of popular producer and rapper Mantani this morning was moved to his ancestral home of Kajo-Keji in Central Equatoria State for burial. Kajo-Keji and neighboring residents of Moyo and Adjumani in Uganda are paying their last respect to him at Kajo-Keji freedom square, as has been the norm all week.
His body was moved through Nimule, Juba in South Sudan to allow for public mourning. Close family, relatives, fans and friends of Mantani are also attending the private funeral service in Kajo-Keji.
Throughout the week thousands lined up on the road sides and viewing centers including SSCC Ground as the hearse containing the coffin made its way into to the Family house and mortuary, accompanied by police vehicles.
Central Equatoria State’s Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony praised the late singer as a distinguished singer who used his voice to push for social changes while entertaining the people of this nation. He also pledged to have a street named in Kajo-Keji in memory of the late.
He died on July 24, in Kampala Uganda after an accident while riding from Kajo-Keji to Moyo in Uganda. He was later rushed to Lacor hospital and then to Case Hospital in Kampala for further medical attention where he lost the battle. According to a family member, burial is tomorrow in Bori, Kajokeji.
Before his death, the late singer was a member of the popular music group Hardlife Avenue stars where he together with Nicky Prince and Linus the Genius enjoyed enormous success through hit monsters like Yau De, Am no longer single, lost culture, mederesa, ana yau arifu, jouza among other hit songs across households in the country. He left behind a daughter and a voice in his songs that music fans will cherish for a very long time.
