New Leaders Elected in Aweil East Students Association at University of Bahr El Ghazal

The Aweil East Students Association at the University of Bahr El Ghazal has elected new leaders yesterday date 28 March 2026.

David Dau Dut was elected as the Chairperson of the association. Deng Akot was elected as the Secretary General, while Abuk Akot became the Secretary for Finance.

All three candidates won unopposed. This means they were the only candidates for their positions.

Students from Aweil East at the university welcomed the results and congratulated the newly elected leaders. The new officials are expected to lead and represent the association in the coming period. 🎉

For wining our trust and one of H.E Salva Kiir president of the Republic of South Sudan
We students has been longing for this change and it has come at the right time
When our traditional value of unity is threatened, jobless among the youths and women is at toll and poverty is at rise. We believed that you would work with youths and all sections of our country to return our unity and dignity, to achieve our aspiration towards prosperity and dreams of our founding fathers.

I'm so dismayed and displeased to announce the untimely death of MEL MEL MEL the younger brother of Garang Mel Mel well known by matuong Agokdugin
Who has recently graduated in UBG here in June
College of economic and social studies
Diploma in business administration
Late MEL has been suffering from severe peptic ulcers making him to vomit blood and finally claim his life this morning at 10 o'clock local time date 11 December 2023

My heartfelt condolence to brother Garang Mel and family at large
God has given us and God has taken from us
May His holy name be praised hollows

Our tuition fees at the University of Bahr El Ghazal.🤔

800 USD for the college of medicine.
600 USD for the college of veterinary science
400 USD for the college of Agriculture.
University of Bahr El Ghazal is treating us well this time around.
