This morning, 13 October 2026, a delegation from Emmanuel Christian University (ECU) paid a courtesy call on Hon. Emmanuel Taban Seme, Caretaker Commissioner of Yei River County. We congratulated him on his appointment and on earning the trust and confidence of His Excellency Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, and His Excellency Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani.
During the visit, we formally presented an invitation to ECU’s forthcoming graduation ceremony, scheduled for 13 November 2026. We also shared updates on the university’s institutional growth and expanding academic programmes, highlighting its contribution to human resource development in Yei River County and South Sudan.
Hon. Seme commended ECU’s progress and its commitment to making higher education accessible to young people in Yei. He expressed his readiness to cooperate fully with the university in ensuring a successful 2026 graduation ceremony.
ECU remains committed to advancing quality education, developing responsible leaders, and strengthening partnerships that support community and national development.
