Emmanuel Christian University - ECU Joins Yei Community in Welcoming the Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan.
The university, represented by Rev. Simon Lasuba, Deputy Vice Chancellor, who joined H.E. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, Governor of Central Equatoria State, national and state government officials, traditional leaders, youth, women, church leaders, and thousands of citizens who gathered along the streets of Yei extendeding a warm and dignified welcome to H.E. Prof. Dr. James Wani Igga, Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan and Chair of the Economic Cluster, during his visit to the county.
ECU’s participation reflects the University’s commitment to being an active and responsible partner in the development of Yei River County, Central Equatoria State, and South Sudan. As a faith-based institution of higher learning, ECU recognizes that meaningful transformation requires collaboration between government, educational institutions, communities, churches, and other stakeholders.
ECU reaffirmed its willingness to support initiatives that promote peace, unity, education, economic development, responsible leadership, and sustainable transformation.
