☀️ On July 22, 2026, students from various academic fields at California State University, San Bernardino, United States, who were visiting Thailand for a study trip and cultural learning program, visited the Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University, to attend lectures and exchange ideas with Social/Business Psychology faculty members and students.
Dr. Thipnapa Huansuriya introduced the M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Psychological Science and gave an overview of social psychology and business psychology.
Mr. Thanakrit Samrankamol, a doctoral student in the Social Psychology track, presented his research proposal on the relationship between moral foundations and tolerance toward people with different political views in Thailand.
Dr. Piyakrita Kruaheerun presented research conducted in collaboration with the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Center. In the first phase, the project developed an application on LINE Official Account to communicate with and encourage older adults to engage in more physical activity. The project is currently in its second phase, which applies psychological knowledge to further personalize communication for individual users.
Lecturer Kusuma Leelanarathiwat presented part of her doctoral dissertation, which found that consumers who learned about the purpose and activities of brands that genuinely aimed to help society, rather than focusing solely on profit, experienced moral elevation after witnessing the brand’s prosocial actions. They also felt a stronger sense of identification with the brand and became more willing to participate in volunteer activities initiated by the brand.
The students from California State University, San Bernardino, showed strong interest by asking many questions and actively exchanging ideas both during and after the presentations.
