Just weeks after severe flooding affected communities across Bangkok, UN-Habitat and the Embassy of Mexico in Thailand (Embajada de México en Tailandia / สถานทูตเม็กซิโกประจำประเทศไทย) brought together government officials, cities, experts, academia and civil society to ask a critical question: how can cities act before the next flood, not after it?

Held during Bangkok Climate Action Week , From Risk to Resilience: Urban Flood Prevention for Climate Action connected experiences from Thailand and Mexico, exploring how risk-informed urban planning, early warning systems, nature-based solutions and stronger coordination can help cities prepare for a changing climate.
