สถาบันวิทยสิริเมธี (VISTEC) ขอแสดงความยินดีอย่างยิ่ง กับ ผศ. ดร.ชยสิทธิ์ อุตมาภินันท์ อาจารย์ประจำสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และวิศวกรรมชีวโมเลกุล (BSE) ที่ได้รับ “รางวัลนักวิทยาศาสตร์ดีเด่น ประจำปี 2569” สาขาเคมีชีวภาพและชีววิทยาสังเคราะห์ จากมูลนิธิส่งเสริมวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์
ดร.ชยสิทธิ์ เป็นอาจารย์และนักวิจัยแถวหน้าผู้บุกเบิกเทคโนโลยี Genetic Code Expansion (การขยายรหัสพันธุกรรม) โดยนำมาปรับใช้ร่วมกับพันธุวิศวกรรมและชีววิทยาสังเคราะห์ จนสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ ที่ช่วยตอบโจทย์สำคัญของประเทศ ทั้งในด้านสาธารณะสุขและสิ่งแวดล้อมมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง
โดยในวันนี้ 17 สิงหาคม 2569 ศ. ดร.ยศชนัน วงศ์สวัสดิ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวง อว. ได้ให้เกียรติมาเป็นผู้มอบโล่รางวัล ณ โรงแรมเซ็นทารา แกรนด์ แอท เซ็นทรัลพลาซา ลาดพร้าว กรุงเทพฯ

VISTEC extends its warmest congratulations to Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayasith Uttamapinant, faculty member at the School of Biomolecular Science and Engineering (BSE), on being awarded the prestigious "Outstanding Scientist Award 2026" in the field of Biological Chemistry and Synthetic Biology by The Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under the Patronage of H.M. the King.
Dr. Chayasith is a leading researcher and pioneer in Genetic Code Expansion technology. By combining this cutting-edge technique with genetic engineering and synthetic biology, he has continuously developed innovative solutions addressing critical national challenges in public health and the environment.
The award ceremony took place today, August 17, 2026, at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok, where Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), honored the event as the presenter of the award.
