The Global Initiatives Symposium in Taiwan (GIS Taiwan) is Asia’s largest student-organized English-language international forum, proudly hosted by National Taiwan University. This year, we explore the powerful theme of “Empowerment,” diving deep into three critical academic topics: FinTech, Digital Transformation, and Technology and Educational Inequality.

Over an exciting five-day journey, participants will engage in project-based discussions, leadership dialogues, a vibrant cultural festival, and an elegant banquet. The forum brings together top scholars, industry leaders, and student representatives from around the world—creating a one-of-a-kind platform for cross-disciplinary, cross-generational exchange among leaders in academia, business, and government. GIS Taiwan is not just an event—it’s a launchpad for bold ideas and meaningful conversations that shape the future.

And this year’s speaker lineup is nothing short of exceptional. Joining us are:

Mr. Donghui Lu, Chairman of Micron Technology Taiwan

Mr. Chung-Ta Lei, Chairman of the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance

Ms. Debbie Lu, General Manager of Dior Hong Kong and Macau

Ms. Anna A. Kao, Former Spokesperson of Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

With such influential voices and visionary minds in the room, GIS Taiwan 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Join us from July 7th to 11th, and step beyond your comfort zone—into a space where global perspectives meet local passion, and where your voice can inspire real change.
