The Directorate of Engagement, Research and Innovations overseas a number of strategic business units including: the Center for Engagement, Policy and Development (CEPDR), The Center for Innovations and Business Incubation (CIBI), The center for Executive and Professional Skills Development (CEBD). These centers are established in pursuit of the four motivations for the establishment of university
i.e
a) Provide education that is relevant to community needs
b) Transform ideas into solutions
c) accelerate skills and solutions to businesses and
d) Nurture and Manage knowledge transfer partnerships. Deri’s strategy is to offer services that are responsive to the needs of the community and also provide platforms of entrepreneurship and business development. This is achieved through tailoring programmes the needs of the society
