Aiken Polo Club

Just wanted to let anyone that is interested know that Aiken Polo is starting this SUNDAY, APRIL 27th!!!!

The club is now offering for any USCA student FREE bleacher access with their student ID!

So come out and enjoy the historic Whitney Polo Field right down town Aiken! And enjoy some Polo! No matter if you are a polo expert or never seen a game it is alway a good time!

There are games every SUNDAY staring at 3pm. Directions and any additional information can be found in the link below.

Congratulations to Ashton Celec, a member of the IHSA Riding Team for her accomplishments in the classroom…..

The Biology Department has announced their inaugural cycle for the new Connections award, which is sponsored by the Center for Research Excellence. Beginning in the spring semester, five USCA students will receive funding for their proposed research. Ashton is among that group of five and we are very proud of her……

Tomorrow is Freshman Friday here at USC Aiken!!! We are looking forward to meeting our biggest group of equestrians yet! Our IHSA team is also headed to Statesboro, GA this weekend for their first show of the semester! Also, Eventing Club Vice-President Marissa Collens will be competing at Sporting Days Farm here in Aiken with her own horse! Stay tuned for updates!

The 2012 Polo 101 clinic in Atlanta was such a wonderful experience and opportunity for USCA Polo to reach out to polo programs from all over the country. Even University of Southern California sent a rep! We learned so much to aid in the development of our fledgling polo program! A huge thanks goes out to Amy Wisehart and everyone at ARPC and USPA for putting on such a wonderful event!

We had a great group of equestrians visiting campus today for freshman Friday! Also, Polo Club members Tyler Morris and Paula Kramer leave this afternoon for Polo 101 in Atlanta, GA! This will be a great opportunity for our budding program to get some recognization and for these students to network with others from collegiate polo across the country!
