We had an AMAZING time today with Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar at CAAHAC.

We were blessed with a listening session and educated on the history of music through the ages from songs of Africa to Negro Spirituals to present day jazz and hip hop. They gave us a little taste of what we will hear at Tuesday's show at the @etherredgecenter!

Their grand reopening will kick off with a show tomorrow at 2 p.m. featuring The Queens Cartoonists. Meet the Staff Monday draws to a close! Could we finish with anyone else? This man is his own brand of wacky, yet always a professional.

Paul B. Crook is the Executive Director of the Etherredge Center and a dedicated Bachelor fan. Paul plans and books the Cultural and Carolina Series for the Etherredge, as well working with clients who want to book the Etherredge for various events. When asked about the differences between his position at a university versus a standalone center for the arts, Paul said: “As part of the University… I have to schedule events around University events, particularly departmental events. If you’re a 501(c)(3), you answer to a Board of Directors, which means that… a lot of your job could be fundraising. It just depends on how big your endowment is.” Paul is also a director and actor, an avid Alabama football and baseball fan, and says that “I’ve enjoyed the challenge of figuring out new ways to do what we do [since starting in 2018].” Paul is excited for next semester’s theatrical production possibilities and you can live tweet with him on Tuesday nights during The Bachelorette. #TheArtsLiveHere
