Davis Gym, the location where we have out skate park is slated to be demolished in the coming weeks. Although we have no say in keeping Davis around, we do have the power to persuade the administrative staff and the board of trustees that an alternate location needs to be provided. Please, if you have ever used the skate park, been to one of our jams, or even talked with one of the club members (even if you have not done any of the above, and just feel that the park is a necessity)... take the time to write a short 3-4 sentence statement on what the skate park means to you, the university, the world, anything. We just want the administrative staff to see how useful this type of facility is to college students, especially college students in Alfred. Please email these statements to [email protected]. EVERY ONE COUNTS!!

Don't forget everyone, come down to Powell Campus Center (kenyon allen room, on the 2nd floor) and get your "before" pictures taken for the Beard/Mustache Contest. We will start around 7:00pm and someone will be there until 8:45pm.

Bring $10 cash/check to enter and you MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN, to give everyone a fair chance.

If donating money to charity isn't good enough, don't forget that there is a CASH PRIZE and RADICAL T-SHIRT for the winner.

The skatepark is currently only available to Alfred University Students, but we are working hard to make it available to the general public! To help us with this, please share our page, come to our events, and let everyone know that we NEED a skate park for EVERYONE!
