#HelpMakeItHappen!

Our sincerest thanks to many of you who chose to help others by donating to the ACC Foundation's COVID-19 Student Assistance Fund. Because of you, we were able to raise over $35,000 for students who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost all of the money has already gone out to help students in the form of gift cards and debit cards. We have been able to help over 150 students so far!

In addition, funds from the Federal CARES Act have recently been distributed. So far, ACC has been able to assist 324 students in need with these funds. However, these funds have very specific criteria that students must meet, therefore many who are in need are unable to qualify.

In an effort to continue to assist those students who are working hard to finish their education, while also losing income and supporting their families, we will continue to raise funds for COVID-19 relief assistance.

To make a donation today, visit bit.ly/ACCFund.

Thank you for all of you who have already and all that you will continue to do! #FinsUp #HelpMakeItHappen

Hi everyone! I am an ACC alumni now at UH finishing my degree. I wanted to announce for anyone interested about the EFx (Engineering Festival) that the UH Chapter of ASME is hosting on February 8th. This will be a one day event comprised of professional development workshops, diversity panels, and career fair, and a design competition with cash prizes for the top teams. Anyone who volunteers for the event will get free admission. There will also be included breakfast and lunch. This would be great for anyone who is getting their core classes here and wants to transfer to a university to finish an engineering degree to get a head start on some of the career development aspects. This event is open to anyone, though, and will have something that almost anyone can take away. Check out more about the event or register at this website: https://efxhouston.asme.org/agenda. If you want to volunteer or participate in the design competition, pm me for more details on that. Hope to see some of you there representing ACC!
