SDP Showcase: Animal Detector “This project presents an intelligent animal detection and collision avoidance system using computer vision and proximity sensors. A machine learning model detects animals in real time and computes a hazard score, which is combined with sensor data to trigger alerts and automatic breaking. The system is implemented on a prototype RC car to demonstrate real time detection, alerting, and response.

SDP Showcase: 4-Axis 3D Printer “ 3-D printers are limited by restricted slicing paths, which often requires structural supports that increase material usage and printing time. With a 4-Axis 3-D printer, which incorporates an additional rotational degree of freedom on the printing nozzle, it is now possible to reduce or entirely eliminate the need for supports during the printing process. This work highlights the potential of multi-axis 3-D printing to improve efficiency and reduce costs while keeping the same level of part integrity.”

SDP Showcase: ORBIT: Productivity Hub "Small interactions like checking messages or notifications often lead to longer distractions and break focus. These micro distractions accumulate and reduce productivity over time. Current solutions are mostly software based and do not provide a natural or satisfying way to stay focused. Orbit provides quick distraction free interactions through dedicated physical controls. The system is designed to help users stay focused while still accessing essential tools in a seamless and engaging way.”
