It is the oldest established program of its kind. University of Massachusetts Amherst, Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice is a fully online‚ comprehensive‚ graduate level public health curriculum designed for health professionals. The UMass School of Public Health and Health Sciences is fully accredited by the ASPH and has the oldest established online MPH program including superb faculty with 10+ years’ online teaching experience. We offer online courses year-round to enable students to complete their degrees in three years or less, without interrupting their careers.

Mission: To optimize the public’s health and quality of life through education, research, outreach and practice using an innovative model that addresses complex transdisciplinary health issues by integrating core areas of public health and the health sciences.

Elizabeth Pogge, PharmD, BCPS, FASCP—Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy and student in the Online MPH in Nutrition Program—and her colleague Lori Eddings, RD will be presenting a poster based on Elizabeth's practicum, "Evaluation of a 12-week Nutrition and Wellness Program in a Geriatric Population," at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists annual meeting in Washington, DC in November. Who is eligible for MPH PHP: Current public health or health care professionals with three years of full-time work experience, Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 Our students maintain careers in the following areas while receiving their degree: • State health departments • Managed care organizations • Academic medical centers • Municipal and county health departments • Veterans Administration health systems • School health programs • Private not-for-profit community agencies • Hospitals • And many other settings No extensive online experience is necessary. Our program provides you with all of the tools needed to make courses interesting, interactive and informative. Application Deadlines: Deadlines: March 1st for fall semester admissions, October 1st for spring semester admissions. There are no summer admissions.
