UMass Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy

UMass Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy The Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (CEERE) at UMass Amherst provides technical assistance for a range of energy technologies.

CEERE is based in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department and houses the following programs: - Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) - Through the U.S. Department of Energy's IAC program, we provide no-cost energy audits to small to midsized manufacturing facilities throughout New England. Learn more about the program and eligibility criteria at www.ceere.org/iac - Northeast Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Technical Assistance Partnership - CHP is a highly efficient approach to generating electric power and useful thermal energy from a single fuel right at the point of use. With funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, we offer no-cost screenings, technical assistance, and expert advice to help determine if CHP is a good fit for your site, technically and financially. Learn more at www.northeastchptap.org - UMass Clean Energy Extension - This new program, funded by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, provides technical assistance on a range of clean energy technologies at no cost to municipalities and businesses across the state. See ag.umass.edu/energy to learn more. - Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Partnership (MAEEP) supports deployment of energy efficiency technologies and tools to the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. Learn more and see our upcoming training schedule at www.maeep.org CEERE's director is Dr. Beka Kosanovic, Research Professor in Mechanical Engineering.

Mission: To support deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies while providing valuable training and research experience for graduate and undergraduate engineering students.
