Dear Zoofans,

Our season ended sooner than any of us were ready for. It’s a devastating feeling to know that we no longer get to practice, grind, and play together as a team. But now the focus is on building Zoo20, and today marks a special opportunity for us:

Our season is always very expensive, and any contribution to Zoodisc greatly helps and is greatly appreciated. This year we have decided to partake in a fundraising opportunity set up by UMass called UMass Gives.
This is a huge opportunity for the team to make a lot of money to help pay for a costly season. It takes place today and tomorrow you can donate to this link at anytime during these days!

BUT the special part about UMass Gives is its "power hour". The power hour is when multiple clubs compete to gain the most individual donors during their assigned time period, and if they win, they are given an EXTRA $2000!! Our power hour is on 4/29(today!) from 10-11am. PLEASE, if possible, donate during that time period.

But that's not all! If we receive the most donations over these two days, we are given an extra $1000 on top of the power hour winnings, and the donations we've received. So, we could make an extra $3000 in addition to any donations, which would be a monumental help for the team.


We wanted to somehow recognize your gracious donations, and we like to spend some quality brother time as a team in our community. One of our favorite places to volunteer is Brookfield Farm, a local community supported farm that provides fresh food and education to the Amherst area for over 30 years!
So, we thought, “why not combine our need for funding for Frisbee with our love of sorting potatoes?”. For each $10 you donate, a team member will spend another hour of volunteering at the farm. So, you donate $100, we give 10 hours of at the farm! We are a team that is more than 25 strong, so we are up for the challenge and will complete every single hour of time—with pictures!

But wait, there’s more! As an added token of our appreciation, a donation of $20 or more makes you a founding member of the ZooBoo, the ZooDisc Booster Club. This gets you a ZooDisc window decal, occasional emails with team updates , and our eternal gratitude.

We strive to be the pride of UMass Amherst and we deeply appreciate your support as we try to be the best we can be, on and off the field. Any support is greatly appreciated, and no donation is too small!

Zoo over Tufts B 13-4
So much love and respect for today’s team. They had to set up the tournament starting at 6 am, push 10+ vehicles out of the mud before 8 am and then take care of business on the field #yeahzoo #rollzoo

UMass Men's Rowing

Save the date and spread the word to support UMass Men's Rowing through the annual UMass Gives campaign!

Good afternoon! Throughout April 29th and 30th, UMass Men's Rowing will be taking part in UMass Gives, a 48-hour online fundraising campaign where we hope to bring friends, family, and dedicated alumni together to boost the financial health of our program. The University of Massachusetts is offering bonus prizes ranging from $1000-$2000 to the organization that has the most unique donors above $5 during the drive. This means that even the smallest donations can have a massive impact! We ask that you save the date and spread the word, ensuring us the biggest turnout when the day comes. TELL US: The Student Activities Fee supports the student government, over 200 Registered Student Organizations, and several agencies. Currently, the fee is $231; of which, $100 goes to the Student Union Renovation and $131 goes to clubs and agencies.
