Solving our local communities’ environmental problems or contributing to the solutions of the world’s biggest environmental problems require an interdisciplinary approach bringing together environmental science and management, economics, policy making, environmental law and governance. There’s no one approach that is going to succeed in mitigating environmental degradation and climate change, it is a team effort spread across many different sectors of society. Come learn about this diverse landscape of careers in which you can address environmental issues from different approaches, and the skills needed to succeed.

Want to talk more in-depth about your specific questions? Sign up for an individual meeting with Tatianna through CORC's Alum 1-2-1 Program. Go to the CORC appointment scheduler (on the CORC website) to schedule a time between 1:30 and 3:30 on Weds, Nov 13th.

More reasons to support local, sustainable agriculture! I mean, you just never know when people will want to take professional photographs of your heritage breeds. :)

Our cows and pigs were in a professional photo shoot yesterday! Aliza Eliazarov, a photographer working in a book called On the Modern Farm: Portraits of Heritage Breeds, took photos of our Belted Galloway and Devon cows and our Gloucester Old Spot pigs. Stay tuned, and keep an eye out for the book!

Hampshire College Farm and CSA

Hampshire College Farm Fall Veggie and Meat CSA shares are available now!

It's that time of year again! Support our hardworking farmers, our amazing crew of students, our educational mission, and local, sustainable agriculture in the Pioneer Valley, all while eating delicious, organically-raised vegetables and herbs and/or pasture-raised heritage meat. Sign up for your Hampshire Farm CSA veggie and/or meat share now! http://hampshirecollegefarm.csasignup.com/members.

For veggie shareholders, the Farm's PYO (pick-your-own) fields will be open mid-summer. Here you can pick fresh herbs (basil, dill, parsley, etc.), heirloom tomatoes, hot peppers, edamame, green beans, and an assortment of beautiful flowers. Regular weekly pickups will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, at the CSA barn and go through November 22nd. Shares cost $360 and can easily feed a group of four. (Students, that's $30 total per week, or $7.50 per person per week for a 4-person mod for fresh, organic vegetables and flowers - and even cheaper with more people!)

Meat shareholders receive 12-15 pounds of frozen, pasture-raised meat per month, with cuts ranging from sausage and ground beef to bacon, lamb, and steaks. Monthly meat share pickups will be in October, November, and December. Shares cost $350 for approximately 40-45 lbs (total) of local, sustainable, heritage, pasture-raised meat. Averaging about $8/lb, that's quite a deal!

Thank you for your support, and see you at the farm!
