Mission: Dhadak aims to promote cultural diversity through dance at UMass Amherst and within the local community. Some of the dance styles performed include Bollywood, Hip Hop, Bhangra, Contemporary, Step, Bharatanatyam, Ballet, Jazz, and Salsa. UMass Dhadak has performed at universities and colleges across the Northeast, including Harvard University, Yale University, and Columbia University, among others. UMass Dhadak works with the Amherst schools to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle among kids, and performs around the area for local fundraisers and other charity organizations.
Operating as usual
During the holiday season, Dhadak has a tradition of taking a photo and sending a holiday card. However, because everyone can’t be together, we didn’t think that should stop us from celebrating the best time of the year! Hope you all enjoy 🥰

You only need to attend one night of tryouts, all styles are welcome, and no experience is necessary!
Auditions will be held on the 2nd floor of the Herter Hall Annex. You will be learning two short routines, so be sure to wear clothes that are comfortable for dancing, and bring lots of water!
