An Isenberg Affiliated Student Organization The Finance Society discusses finance related topics, such as recent news, the various markets, and the job paths within finance.
We work on guiding and preparing students for achieving and executing interviews properly. Throughout the semester, we will have employers come in to discuss opportunities within their companies and how to better position yourself for an internship or a job in the future. We will also hear from the most experienced members in the club to discuss their internship opportunities and how they obtained them. To get more involved, come join us on Mondays at 8pm to hear us talk about finance or hear our numerous guest speakers talk about their experiences. Mission: The Finance Society's primary function is to educate student members regarding career development and exploration. We facilitate opportunities for experience and learning through internships, co-ops and networking trips. Students are strongly encouraged to build relationships with industry professionals who can offer first hand insights about working in their chosen field and we provide members the network to do so. Our trips to Boston and New York City each semester serve as a platform for students to further develop these relationships. Membership is open to all UMass Amherst students interested in the field of Finance and career development. To join the club, contact an officer or come to our next meeting!
