DAG’s Vision: We strongly feel the oppression people with disabilities face at Bethel is just as important as every other social justice issue. Unfortunately, until now, it has not received the attention it deserves. People with disabilities deserve to have an equal voice at Bethel and DAG could be a starting point to make that happen! DAG’s Purpose/Goals: - Raise awareness and educate the Bethel community - Reframe ideas of disability- Different, not Less. -Start dialogues about disabilities on campus by hosting a variety of different awareness events. -Break commonly held stereotypes. - Break down barriers and limitations, such as attitudes, so people with disabilities feel valued rather than rejected. -Be advocates for people with disabilities. Be the voice that needs to be heard! - Provides a supportive environment where students can talk openly about things they are currently going through with other students.

Mission: Our mission is to work together to raise awareness on a variety of topics surrounding disability, to break commonly held stereotypes, and create a community of inclusion and acceptance for all people.

We are SO PROUD to partner with this incredible organization!!!! Go check them out - they're about 2 minutes off of Bethel's Campus!!!!

When a Bethel family opened a Dunn Brothers Coffee near campus, they had much more than hot beverages in mind. The comfy space quickly became a perfect training ground for interns from Bethel’s BUILD program. Full story: ow.ly/4te530nQjAa

DAG is a huge fan of special books by special kids! Amazing people doing amazing things in the world. 💗✨ #differentnotless

The Special Books by Special Kids page was founded after my special education class’s stories were denied by fifty publishers. Tonight our community has reached one million members.

This is the story of how and why a dismissed book idea progressed into one of the world's most loved video series. Thank you to everyone who is part of this global movement towards a more accepting culture.

General information

DAG is a group of students with and without disabilities who are passionate about disability advocacy and reconciliation! “Every human life has its limitations, vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Not just those with disabilities. We are born needy, and we die helpless. So in truth there is no such thing as a life without disabilities” (Moltmann, J., p.31)
