💜✨The School of Performing Arts welcomes Dr. Rachel Park as she joins the Division of Music as a collaborative pianist ✨💜

"Dr. Rachel K. Park, an active solo and collaborative pianist, has presented numerous performances throughout the United States and internationally, including appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Crystal Cathedral, and the Embassy of Korea in Washington, D.C., as well as venues across Asia and Europe.

Dr. Park integrates cultural insight from South Korea into her performance and scholarship, with a particular focus on solo and collaborative works by Korean contemporary composers and comparative studies in music education systems. She has presented her research and performances at national and state conferences.

Her collaborative work includes touring with the Pilgrim Ensemble and The King’s Brass, which offered more than a thousand concerts over a decade. She has recorded five ensemble albums and released her solo album featuring 12 original hymn arrangements.

Dr. Park was named a National Finalist for the 2026 and 2023 American Prize, a Semi-Finalist for the 2024 Music International Grand Prix, and the winner of the 2011 Piano Texas International Festival & Academy Concerto Competition.

She served as the tenured Associate Professor of Piano at Jacksonville State University from 2017 until 2026 and resigned to serve The Disciples Korean Church of Arkansas in Little Rock with her husband and three children.

Currently, she serves as the Immediate Past President of the Alabama Music Teachers Association and maintains active membership in Arkansas Music Teachers Association, MTNA, ASCAP, the American Matthay Association, and the Asian Society of Music in New York.

Rachel loves nature and animals, as well as gardening and cooking Korean dishes for her friends and family."
