It gives us great pleasure to introduce you all to Dr. Stefan Vasic. Stefan successfully defended his dissertation last Friday and will walk in May having earned the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education. During his doctoral experience, Stefan has accumulated the following awards: The W&M Galfo Award, the W&M Inclusive Excellence Grant, the Association for Humanistic Counseling’s Make a Difference Grant, and the NARACES Research Grant. Hi! Students and recent graduates in the online program at W&M have organized a peer study group for the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). It will be hosted through Zoom. There will be four groups offered in January. Each study group will meet for a total of 6 hours. It is ok to join if you miss the first session - we will briefly review.

Group 1: Friday, January 10, 17, and 24th 2-4 pm Eastern
Group 2: Friday, January 10, 17, and 24th 6-8 pm Eastern
Group 3: Sunday, January 12, 19, and 26 6-8 pm Eastern
Group 4: Saturday, January 18 Intensive 10-4 pm Eastern (with lunch break around 12 pm)

Anyone preparing for the NCMHCE is welcome to register and join.

Last week, several of our students and faculty presented on their research and clinical work at the Virginia Counselors Association annual convention in Hampton, VA. We're excited to recognize doctoral student Minne Tsai, master's students Hannah Khan and Marlon Espinosa-Mendoza, and faculty Dr. Bianca Augustine and Dr. Amber Pope for sharing their expertise with the Virginia counseling community.
