Microsoft published this--a really good background on what UNC Asheville students have worked on all year:

“Artists have a really unique ability to tell stories, and they also have a really unique ability to see the potential of any new medium or any new technology platform,” says Lorraine Bardeen, general manager for the Mixed Reality Workplace at Microsoft. She has spoken extensively about using mixed reality as a vehicle for storytelling, including sample apps like “Actiongram” that give HoloLens users the power to insert holographic characters into their stories.. . . UNCA’s Concerts on the Quad invites the community to the campus

First one this evening. what better way to spent a warm, almost summer, evening. Read what Mountain Express has to say. Cori Anderson (ART alumni) and colleagues have done a fantastic job of lining up an eclectic program this year.

Last year’s lineup brought in a greater number of Latino listeners, says Cori Anderson, assistant director of Cultural Events & Special Academic Programs at UNCA. That trend could continue, thanks to Making Movies.
