Hosted by the Student Engagement Center, this gathering welcomes students who are the first in their families to attend college🎓️✨️. Enjoy lunch while connecting with fellow first-generation students, faculty, and staff who share similar experiences — build new relationships and discover a supportive community that will cheer you on throughout your time at Randolph-Macon.

On September 12th Randolph-Macon College students, faculty, and staff are coming together to honor 9/11 Day of Service through five hands-on service projects supporting Ashland and Hanover County. Volunteers are making a difference through bingo with nursing home residents, trail cleanup, organizing donations at the Hull Closet, and crafting and reading with children at the Ashland Library! 💙

Congratulations to Natalie Ku, recipient of the SERVE Community Hero Award for May 2026! Class of 2027, Natalie is majoring in Biology and minoring in Film and Classics. She has been an active part of the SERVE Committee for the past three years on the logistics team, and is an avid film set volunteer. When asked about the importance of giving back to the community, Natalie shared: “Anything I can do to help the community is something I enjoy doing. Giving my time to people who need help, or simply to get to know people better and build connections with people you may never have met otherwise, is always self-fulfilling for me”. Go Natalie!

Congratulations to Sigma Sigma Sigma, recipients of the SERVE Helping Hands Award for April 2026! When asked about their favorite part of giving back, the chapter shared: Our favorite part about giving back through service is creating meaningful change. Serving our community allows us to come together for something bigger than ourselves and live out Sigma Sigma Sigma’s values through action. Knowing that even small efforts can make a lasting impact makes service especially meaningful to us. We are proud to recognize them for their hard work and commitment to service!

Congratulations to Taylor Hemenway, recipient of the SERVE Community Hero Award for April 2026! Taylor is a junior graduating in 2027 and the President of the SERVE Committee. She is double majoring in Psychology and Communications and has been an active part of the SERVE Committee for several years. When asked about the importance of giving back to the community, Taylor shared: “Giving back to the community helps to make a positive difference in people’s lives.” Taylor’s dedication, leadership, and passion for service truly embody the spirit of SERVE. We’re proud to celebrate her and the positive difference she continues to make!
