ROC October Update and ROC Student Spotlight, Austin Mahr - https://mailchi.mp/1bd1d359ceb9/wg277oq8tq-9408725
Reach Out on Campus is a community of people who seek to glorify Jesus Christ. We desire to put a spotlight on Jesus through our words and actions in the Ohio University community.
You are welcome to join us anytime. ROC is a student organization at Ohio University which means our students lead and help guide the direction of the ministry. ROC serves, loves, and disciples through a variety of activities that happen throughout the year (check out the calendar at http://rocou.blogspot.com/p/roc-calendar.html). We enjoy one another and love hanging out, serving together, and exploring the life Jesus has given us together.
Mission: Putting the spotlight on Jesus Christ on the campus of Ohio University.

The ROC Worship Team is back in action again this week. Last night they led our community in praise and worship for Virtual Crosswalk, but through the miracle of modern technology you can watch them perform just as if you were there as well (yes, we know it's a cheesy sell, but hey, we want to share something special with you). Anyhow, take a few minutes and check the guys out. Will Blayne Smith, Trey Vaughan, Noah McCune

We had a great time at Noelle Mash’s house warming tonight at Central Christian Church of Gallipolis. In case you missed it, Central fixed up an old minister’s suite at their church so Noelle can live in Gallia county and minister at the University of Rio Grande! We are incredibly thankful for these folks and all their hard work in getting the space ready.
Some of you know that Noah Mulvaney, our Associate Campus Minister took off this morning to return to Tennessee. It’s been an amazing 2 years with him at ROC. His presence and impact in the community has truly been one of the things that has made ROC a special place to Belong, Become, and Be Sent. We will absolutely miss him but are excited for him and his next phase of life. Please join us in praying for him as he travels, starts a new job on Monday, and begins the process of finishing up his accounting degree at the University of Tennessee.
Also, what do you do on your last day in Ohio? Go visit the Mothman statue for a photo op. 😂
This week for Crosswalk our worship team did some solo work. We think it turned out pretty great. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think. While you're there hit that subscribe button so you can stay up to date with some of our online content.

Since Crosswalk has gone virtual this semester due to concerns with Covid-19, we are doing our best to take those lemons and make lemonade. Lemons = we can't meet as a group in person for worship... Lemonade = we can share our worship and teaching with all of our friends! Check out the teaching video from this week as our Associate Campus Minister Noah Mulvaney talks about turning Obstacles into Opportunities.

Dear ROC Supporting Churches.
We at Reach Out on Campus appreciate your generosity and love for our students at Ohio University. As you know, we have given away approximately 1,500 bags of cookies during move-in each year and had planned to do so again this year.
However, with the recent notice from the university that only a few students will be returning for in-person classes and most will resume their studies online, we have decided to cancel our usual cookie outreach. We feel it will be much more prudent to purchase freezer pops and give them away to the few students who will be returning rather than ask our supporting churches to bake cookies.
Therefore, we are cancelling our request for you to bake cookies this year. If, however, you would still like to support our outreach, you may do so by sending contributions designated for the freezer pop give-away.
Thank you, again, for your support. If we can ever be of assistant to you or your church, please feel free to contact us.
Our friends Darrin Will and Evan Lynch join us on a new episode of the ROC Podcast where we discuss finding blessings in the midst of difficult times. You can listen on iTunes, Spotify, or our website https://reachoutoncampus.com/podcast. Shhhh Evan is sleepy.
