Debbie started her jewelry company, Roots Metals, in 2018 after a trip to India with her sister. Inspired by the incredible colors, views, smells, cultures, sounds, tastes, languages, and textures around her, Debbie felt compelled to examine her own cultures and upbringing in her creative work. Roots Metals' pieces, inspired by Jewish, Middle Eastern, and Latin American motifs, pay homage to Debbie’s cultures and heritage and to her homes of Israel and Costa Rica.
