Support poverty-focused foreign aid

Hey Y'all, send a letter to your local rep. asking them to please not cut foreign aid! It already is only 1% of the budget and with famine right now in East Africa this is seriously the worst time to consider chopping it. It takes 3 seconds. Thanks!

Right now, there are more than 13 million lives at risk in East Africa. Write to your members of Congress today and ask them to support poverty-focused foreign assistance so we can stop the next crisis before it occurs.

There have been a lot of hoops, but we are so close to getting a room for our Hunger Banquet - it is still TBA,
but on a much better note - OCT. 16 is World Food Day - come to our Sunday Dinner in the basement of UCM from 6-8. We will talk about the world food crisis and what Oxfam is doing towards the fight against hunger!
