Emory's Data and Decision Sciences Department is now offering a 2-credit course that provides a nontechnical introduction to AI. Undergraduates seeking to learn the fundamentals without coding knowledge or math prerequisites have a new, accessible entry point.

"This track bridges AI literacy and AI ethics with a focus on informed decision-making for positive societal impact," says Cliff Carrubba, department chair.

A new, two-credit course titled “Introduction to AI Applications” is open to all Emory undergraduates and provides a nontechnical introduction to AI and its growing effect on work, institutions and daily life.

Sean Clarke has been appointed as the next dean of Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, effective August 1, 2026.

An internationally respected nursing leader, researcher and educator, Clarke has held senior academic and research appointments at New York University, Boston College, McGill University, the University of Toronto and the University of Pennsylvania.

Saby Mitra, an experienced academic leader and expert in information systems and technology management, has been named the next John H. Harland Dean of Emory University Goizueta Business School!
