Augusta University Writing Center The Augusta University offers FREE one-on-one consultations to students in any discipline working on writing, multimedia, or oral communication projects.

The Augusta University Writing Center offers FREE one-on-one writing consultations to any student, faculty, or staff of Augusta U. Consultants are trained in the teaching of writing and offer expert support at any stage in the writing process: brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing. Students writing in any discipline are welcome! Consultants can also assist with multimedia and oral communication projects. Appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes and can be made by registering for a WC account at mywco.com/augusta. Walk-ins are also welcome. In addition to one-on-one appointments, the WC offers writing groups and online resources. Find out more by visiting http://www.augusta.edu/pamplin/writingcenter/. Mission: The mission of the Writing Center is to help students become better writers. By offering free peer consultations to guide students through the writing process, the staff empowers students to make well-informed decisions about their texts.

Congratulations to our graduating writing consultants! Graduate assistant Kellyn Brooks will complete her Master’s in counseling this summer; post-bac consultant Lysi Jones has earned her second Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication; and undergraduate consultant Allyson Smith has earned her Bachelor of Arts in English. Special congratulations to graduate assistant Samantha Carr, who will be leaving the center to begin her work as full-time teacher at Academy of Richmond County this fall while finishing her Master’s in Education.

The Augusta University Writing Center will close for the spring 2019 semester at 8pm today, May 1st.

Please join us tomorrow, May 2nd, for our Finals Write-In, from 9am-5pm in AH-N204. Use your Reading Day productively by studying in our space while enjoying free snacks and good company!

The center will reopen for the summer sessions May 20-August 2 at the Summerville location (AH-N204). The Health Sciences location is closed during the summer sessions. Please take advantage of our summer services, and good luck with finals!
