Recently, he was featured in a two-person show at Hi-Lo Press and a group exhibition at The Gallery by Wish.

Ryan Parks featured in our upcoming exhibition "Unexpected Places," curated by Matthew Porter, July 11 - August 22, 2019.

Ryan Parks creates music under the moniker Fit of Body and also runs the cassette label Harsh Riddims, a catch-all for Leftfield House, R&B, and experimental music created by an expanding cast of friends and like-minded collaborators. #ArtistTalk May 30 - 4:00 PM - Palazzo Bembo
Cheryl Goldsleger - PERSONAL STRUCTURES 2019 participant - is going to have a talk about her artworks and career for all our visitors in Palazzo Bembo.
"Through abstract means I attempt to address the current immigration crisis among other ideas. If one reconsiders Gaston Bachelard’s ideal of home(land) in The Poetics of Space, his premise is the opposite of the current reality of homeland for many people. It is an unstable, vulnerable place leading millions of people to emigrate in order to seek peace and stability elsewhere. Using the diagrammatic imagery of maps from regions affected by the immigration crisis, I overlay geometric drawings as metaphors for the boundaries, borders and constraints of society."
Currently, she is the Morris Eminent Scholar in Art at Augusta University and exhibits throughout the United States and internationally and is well represented in important museum collections.

Attention Students! The juror for the 2019 Juried Student Art Exhibition will be Julio Gonzalez. The drop-off date has been set for January 17, 2019 from 8a.m. to 5p.m. in the Washington Hall Towers.

About the Artist:
Julio Gonzalez is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the southeast United States. During his nine-month residency, he will continue his multimedia project, Día de Los Casi Muertos/Day of the Almost Dead, which explores the cultural differences between Mexican and American experiences with death and aging.
