Students from the Augusta University College of Education visited the Paroa School in Greymouth, New Zealand, recently to learn about how schools in the nation have implemented a dual-language education system in which all students are taught all or some curriculum subjects in the Māori language for at least half of the time, as well as being exposed to Māori cultural traditions. Thank you to The Whakatane Beacon in Whakatāne, New Zealand, for their kind coverage of our students' experiences in an Augusta University Study Abroad Office program. The trip was lead by Dr. Kim Barker and Dr. Darla Linville.
