Greetings BFSA and Happy Holidays!

For the past several years, the BFSA has served dinner on Black Friday (November 28th) at Baltimore Station, a non-profit in Baltimore that provides needed services to unhoused veterans. We need your help this year.

This event will require 8-10 volunteers to help serve dinner to the residents of Baltimore Station on November 28th from 5pm to 7pm EST. Arrival time is 4:30pm for prep. If you are available and willing to help, sign up right away here to volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. We will provide a BFSA t-shirt/polo for volunteers. Please contact Lorraine Smith (443-927-3498) with your size.

Grab a co-worker, grab a friend, and come help us make this evening special for some veterans. If there are any questions, please feel free to send Sikoka Frett an email or Teams message. Thank you in advance to all who can be a volunteer for this event.

JHU BFSA Pre-Juneteenth Game Night and Spades Tournament!

Come join us for a fun-filled evening of games and competition at the Welch Library, 1900 E Monument St, Baltimore, MD 21205. Whether you're a seasoned spades player or just looking to have a good time, this event is perfect for you!

Bring your A-game and challenge your friends to a thrilling spades tournament. Doors opens at 4:30pm. The Spades Tournament begins at 5:10pm. The cost is $40 per team ($20 per person). Must have your team prior to the event. Only eight(8) allowed for tournament. Top prize is $200, second place is $100.

Not a spades pro? No worries! We'll have plenty of other games available for everyone to enjoy. Food and Drinks will be available while it last. Music and prizes by DJ Rod Madd Flava.

Mark your calendars and don't miss out on this exciting event. Let's have a blast together at the BFSA Pre-Juneteenth Game Night and Spades Tournament!

BFSA Member and 1 Guest – Free

All Others - $10 per person

The Annual Meeting with President Daniels and the Senior Leadership Team was a success.

We addressed a number of topics around pay equity, internal hiring practices, workplace culture, the diversity roadmap, the university private police force, and more.

It was an opportunity for members of the association to connect and have dialogue with our university leadership.
