I have not done this in so long ! Due to it being soooooo overdue. Hey Yall ! I’m Kayla Danaye the Jill of many skills behind Kayla Danaye Studios 🫶🏾.
1. I completed my MFA at Savannah College of Art and design last year and whew chile I’m so thankful to be done.
2. I come from a family of multifaceted educated melanated women. They are my why❤️. They have all supported me in even the smallest of endeavors and they always remind me how capable I am.
3. My fellow teacher friend turned bestie who always allows me to bounce ideas off of her ! ( She’s a black woman animator! How cool is that?!)
4. My baby Winston ( I’m obsessed yall it’s bad !)

5. My proof that I do in fact be teaching the peoples children ❤️🫶🏾.

A few clips from this weekends Feminist Magic Market! I’m so thrilled I was able to attend because I had a ball! I loved getting the opportunity to meet other women creatives and soak in the vibes ! I even met some fellow SCAD Grads and educators too. Really Can’t wait for the next one Thanks for having me ❤️

Real Art Girl ish 🎨❤️! It’s really a wrap on summer I had the opportunity to spend my summers end fan-girling over A M Y S H E R A L D ‘s exhibition at the High ! It has been on my vision board since February to go and see it and I finally did. It’s so amazing to see how bigger that life her work is and equally inspirational to see her progression and the development of her style through her works. This exhibition told me I need hurry up and wait and take my time. From the pages of my black American portrait books to the walls of the exhibition was a breathtaking experience.

Oopsie update! I forgot to share with yall I finished my Palm Princess painting and sold it to fellow artist Dierra Jones 🫶🏾. It’s so wonderful when other artist invest in the work that you make ❤️. I have prints of her available on my website under the shop tab !

Working on the Weekend like usual ❤️
Afrohangs looked a little different for me this time around but a time was still had. If yall ever get the chance to go and explore Ma Daisy's Porch in Bluffton indulge yourself you will not be disappointed it’s gorgeous! I can wait to go back and really get the chance to explore. Thank you to everyone who shopped with me! I’ll see you soon at a pop up market near you ❤️.
