Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the world. It was founded in 1904 at New York University and now spans 3 countries, has been chartered at over 300 college campuses in the world, and has initiated over 240,000 members worldwide. We are open to men and women of all majors- not just business-related fields. No matter what field of study you are pursuing,
professional skills and experience are incredibly important. Our core values are Brotherhood, Unity, Knowledge, Integrity, and Service. We strive to better ourselves individually and as a group, and always support each other in all endeavors. The Omega Beta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi was installed at Western Washington University on February 21st, 2009. We have over 60 members, many of which you may recognize from the campus community. We are always recruiting new members, and we accept new members at least twice a year through a process known as pledging. What do we do? The better question is what do we NOT do! We host professional events, perform community service, travel to other chapters, work on our leadership skills, help each other in school, volunteer on campus, network with alumni and business leaders, work on team-building; the list is endless! The common thread throughout all of these activities is our bond of brotherhood, which is one of our defining qualities that makes us different than any club on campus. We encourage you to learn more about us and to come get involved! The experiences and friendships gained through this organization are unlike any other, and any of our members will be proud to tell you how their involvement in Alpha Kappa Psi has helped shape the rest of their lives.
