This past weekend, the Undergraduate Sorors and Advisors of the Courageous Commonwealth of Massachusetts gathered for our annual Undergraduate Retreat, themed Back to the BasicZ. 💙

Sorors spent time learning how to plan for the sorority year ahead, reflecting, and celebrating our graduating seniors. We also recognized Soror Adele Jean of Chi Eta Zeta Chapter and Soror Karynne Estrada of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter for their impactful work supporting undergraduate chapters.

Shoutout to our State Undergraduate Coordinators, Sorors Shamone Burns (ΧΗΖ) and Imani Luckey(ΔΟΖ), for a successful retreat!

Thank you to everyone who joined the Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Massachusetts Sigmas and the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Courageous Commonwealth of Massachusetts for an evening rooted in supporting Black-owned businesses and elevating the bond!

Because of your generosity, we were able to collect meaningful supplies to support families and individuals facing hardship.

On April 2nd, the Courageous Commonwealth of Massachusetts gathered at the Massachusetts State House for our annual Zeta Day on Beacon Hill, standing firm in advocacy aligned with the Extraordinary Power of S.H.E. 💙🤍

Massachusetts Zetas and Amicae had the impactful opportunity to engage directly with legislators and discuss key policy issues that matter most to our communities, including Youth Justice and Fair Sentencing, Maternal Health and Midwifery Access, and Teacher Preparation and Student Literacy.

We are especially proud to celebrate our 4th Massachusetts State Director, Cherina D. Wright, Esq., and our MA Social Action Coordinator, Edith Alexander, who were both honored with citations in recognition of their dedicated leadership and service.

Special thanks to Representative Russell Holmes, Representative Chynah Tyler, and Senator Liz Miranda for your warm hospitality, and commitment to advancing legislation that uplifts and empowers our communities.

As we continue our, Mass Zetas: Empowering Minds and Transforming Futures Through Literacy initiative, we remain committed to fostering literacy skills and promoting educational success through community partnerships that provide individuals and families with free books.

Thank you to all the Sorors and guests who came out to celebrate the unveiling and to everyone who donated books and volunteered their time in support of our literacy initiative. Your support helps us continue expanding access to reading in our communities! 💙📖
