Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Licensed Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental hygiene services, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting general dentistry procedures. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their oral health journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting dedicated to improving smiles and overall well-being.
Hours are flexible . maximum can give upto 40 hours.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to promote long-term dental health
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations
Experience
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification in dental hygiene practices
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with exposure to pediatric dentistry and general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation review and billing processes
Hands-on experience with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care
Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records efficiently
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in chairside assisting during various dental treatments
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure compliance at all times
