1. Walk The Hill, not just campus. The student neighborhood across from campus is where daily life actually happens.
2. Eat where students eat. A bowl at Illegal Pete's, a smoothie at Rush Bowls, a burger at The Sink.
3. Do a real hike. The Flatirons start right at Chautauqua. The mountains are your backyard, not a day trip.
4. Sit somewhere and just watch. Twenty minutes on Farrand Field tells you more than any guided walk.
5. Look into housing early. Know where upperclassmen live around The Hill before you commit.
6.Explore Greek life honestly. Whether or not you rush, it helps to understand how it fits into campus culture.
7. Talk to a current student. Not a rehearsed pitch. The honest answers are the ones that help.
8. Picture your Tuesday, not your tour. Class, food, study spots, weekend plans. That is the life you are choosing.
9. Weigh the out of state question. Cost, distance, how often you will actually get home. Go in with eyes open.
