EDMONTON, Ky. (June 2, 2026) – The search process is underway for the next principal of Metcalfe County Middle School.

Mrs. Jenny Stotts Lundy has accepted the assistant principal position at Metcalfe County Elementary School. She began her teaching career at MCES 26 years ago and spent the past five years as principal at MCMS.

"I’m beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to return to my elementary roots,” said Stotts Lundy. "While I am excited for this new chapter, leaving Metcalfe County Middle School will not be easy. I will truly miss the incredible faculty, staff, and students who have meant so much to me throughout my time there. The relationships, memories, and teamwork we’ve shared will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Superintendent Josh Hurt said, “Mrs. Jenny has built a solid academic foundation at MCMS. I look forward to her taking her extensive skill and expertise back to the elementary school. I’m also encouraged for the next MCMS principal to take what is in place and move the school forward with new options and opportunities.”

The MCMS School-Based Decision Making Council (SBDM) is seeking the public’s input in the search for the next middle school principal. Feedback will help identify the qualities, experience, and characteristics that are the most important to students, staff, and the community.
