Raritan Valley Community College is a comprehensive two-year college that offers more than 90 associate degrees and certificates. ALICE workers are employed, essential to our communities, and often still cannot afford the basics. ALICE at Work, a program led by United Way of Northern New Jersey, helps partners understand what that reality looks like inside the workplace.

That was the focus of a special visit we helped facilitate between the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province 2026 Global Policy Training Program from South Korea and Raritan Valley Community College’s Workforce Training Center. 30 participants toured hands-on training spaces, including 3D printers, drones, and a state-of-the-art automotive training center, while learning how workforce development can better reflect the lives and needs of ALICE workers.

Thanks to RVCC for opening its doors and helping make this global learning exchange possible.

RVCC students in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program made a BIG impact this tax season! 💰👏

Students prepared 93 tax returns for members of the College and local communities, helping save taxpayers an estimated $27,900 in preparation costs and securing more than $93,000 in refunds.
