Why should I hire a wedding and event coordinator/planner? What is a wedding coordinator/planner? This question is the #1 question I receive from people come wedding or event day when it is too late to hire. Most people donโt understand why this particular vendor is needed.
During your event, you want to enjoy the day - managing your own event, especially on the โday ofโ is not enjoyable, it tends to feel more like a job. An unbiased person with experience, NOT a family member or friend is a necessity.
Speaking for only myself, a wedding/event coordinator is different from a venue coordinator. Although the venue of your special occasion is a huge part of your event, they are two separate vendors with different responsibilities. A wedding/event coordinator and/or planner is with you through all wedding planning and coordinating. Yes, the venue coordinator will be there to assist with all venue aspects but a wedding coordinator is there for ALL wedding or event โins and outsโ.
I can only speak for myself in saying what I believe a wedding/event coordinator will do. Coordination and planning should be someone who works with ALL vendors including your venue with respect to your wishes. Coordinators and/or planners should relieve some of your stress throughout your event customizable to your preference.
